Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
The Intelligence Engine (“we”, “us”) provides financial dashboards and AI-generated analysis for small businesses. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to keep it in plain English.
What we collect
Account data — your email address, password (stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider; we never see it), and your company name.
Financial data you upload — transactions extracted from the statements, spreadsheets, PDFs, photos, or Google Sheets you choose to import (dates, descriptions, amounts, and derived categories), plus any balance figure you enter. You control what you upload; only upload data you are entitled to share.
Usage data — basic technical logs (e.g. when features are used) to operate the service, enforce fair-use limits, and improve the product.
How we use it
To provide the service: turning your uploads into dashboards, metrics, forecasts, reports, and — when you request one — a written AI analysis. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your financial data to train AI models.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase in the EU (Ireland), encrypted in transit and at rest. Every company’s data is isolated with database-level row security, so one customer can never see another’s records.
Our sub-processors
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service: Supabase (database & authentication, EU), Vercel (application hosting), and Anthropic (AI analysis — when you run an AI briefing or import a PDF/photo, the relevant data is processed by Anthropic’s API and is not used to train their models per their commercial terms). If you import from a Google Sheets link, we fetch that sheet from Google. Payment processing, when enabled, is handled by Stripe — card details never touch our servers.
Your rights
Under UK/EU data-protection law (GDPR) you can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, or export at any time. Deleting your account removes your company’s data from the live database. To exercise any right, contact us at the email below.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If your account is closed or deleted, live data is removed; residual copies in encrypted backups expire on the backup cycle.
AI output disclaimer
AI briefings are generated automatically from your data. They are informational analysis, not regulated financial advice.
